PALMETTO DUNES. Dine on a wide array of seafood delicacies while enjoying the picturesque view of a lagoon. Sit inside or outside on the enclosed patio. The owner's vintage Harleys are also on display here. A unique dining experience that has been a favorite of the locals for years.

SEA PINES RESORT. Patrons are pleased when they enter this subtle but elegant dining room, located right outside Sea Pines. Glass goblets, white linens and a vase of flowers adorn each table, and a long metallic bar adjoins the space. Specializing in eclectic seafood concoctions, the kitchen turns out creations such as wreckfish grilled with cantaloupe water, served with prosciutto-tomato salad and baby green beans. The namesake dish, the alligator grille duo, features mango barbecued alligator ribs and flash fried fritters. Wrap up your evening with a blissful Italian Mistress (cafe latte, amaretto and vanilla vodka) and a bite of crème brulee or chocolate caramel pyramid. $14 pre-theater menu available until 5:45pm. FOREST BEACH. Outfitted in stone, stainless steel and white decor, this stunning two-story space allures patrons with its innovative cuisine and stylish cocktail bar. Large windows overlooking the beach and the sound of the indoor waterfall add to the atmosphere. Servers deliver artful plates of Asian-inspired seafood dishes, from the dim sum appetizer (shrimp shui mai dumplings, pork pot stickers, spring roll, ginger soy) to pan-blackened grouper with fried green tomatoes, sherry scallion cream and lobster salsa. In addition to the kitchen's bounty, the raw bar dishes up premium oysters.

FOREST BEACH. A tropical and casual atmosphere serves as the backdrop for this American café patterned after an imaginary World War II bar on a Pacific island. Nothing fancy here, just really good food. Some favorites include black bean burger, BBQ, and Santa Fe pasta. Daily seafood specials, as well. Also offers a large selection of microbrews and specialty beers. Entertainment ranges from blues to reggae to various local bands, and the happy hour margarita special's a big draw. Late night menu served until 1am, and the bar is open until 2am.

SEA PINES RESORT. Located in Harbour Town in an old rice barn that was once used as an artist's studio. Don't let the rustic facade fool you, this is fine dining at its best. Contemporary American cuisine with a French influence. Choose from fresh seafood, veal, venison and fine cuts of beef. Extensive wine list with over 80 wines available by the glass.
